Spring Clean Up

Dogwood Park all spruced up for Spring

Dogwood Park all spruced up for Spring

The Dogwood Park spring clean up was a success, in part because the county had come through earlier and done a GREAT job of clipping back the trails and roses, leaving us with minor clean up.

Rosie brought coffee and donuts and we clipped and sipped!

If you haven’t visited the Dogwood Park lately, stop by. Right now the flowers are in bloom.

Learning about Mulch and Fertilizer

Organic composting (and a little Moo Doo)

Organic composting (and a little Moo Doo)

At our March meeting, we learned a little about garden journaling. What are your goals? What kind of record keeper are you? And what kind of journal would meet your need.

On April 12, we moved from making journal notes to getting down and dirty. We had a great meeting learning about mulches and fertilizers from Latte Doo Doo! owner Linda Notchstein.

The Kapowsin, Wash., fertilizer expert provided a wealth of information and members were in agreement on herĀ anti “gene-splitting” stance and organic approach to veges, etc.

Next stop . . . April 17 cleanup of Dogwood Park. See you all there with lopers and rakes!
